Tuesday, May 7 Parc Guell, Barcelona

Park Güell (Catalan: Parc Güell [ˈparɡ ˈɡweʎ]) is a garden complex with architectural elements situated on the hill of El Carmel in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built in the years 1900 to 1914. It has an extension of 17.18 ha (0.1718 km²), which makes it one of the largest architectural works in south Europe.

We made a few changes in our itinerary as the weather is potentially clouding over towards the end of the week. So today's tour is "Sunday in the park" at Gaudi's unfinished housing project - Park Guell. (now a city park). It turned out to be a beautiful and sunny day with serious amount of tourists wanting to take the same photo as everyone else.

However, we managed to sneak away to get a few quiet moments to ourselves. Ahhh, the joys of being a tourist. Here Gary is leaning in one of the "Organic architecture" pathways made of stone.

Finally, an afternoon sangria (before siesta time) after an exhausting day in the park ;) (ok, at least I'm eating vegs!)
